9. The Ethics of Care

 According to this theory, morality demands that we pay attention to special relationships that we have in our lives. 

Morality goes wrong when we exercise impartiality because it's our most caring relationships that make living worthwhile. 

A problem with this view is that it emphasizes the importance of personal relationships over the well-being of others.
